B1C Plans to Celebrate 13th Birthday with Annual FREE Health Day Event
Together with local partners, this will be a day to offer access to many free medical and dental services.
June 3rd, 2024—Building One Community, the Center for Immigrant Opportunity (B1C), is thrilled to announce our 13th birthday celebration on June 12th with our annual free Health Day event. This special occasion aims to make healthcare accessible to all, providing various FREE health services and practical tips on general health care. What better way to celebrate our 13th birthday than by offering free health services to the immigrant community with the support of our partners!

- Free Haircuts with a Professional Hairstylist and Barber
- HIV and Hepatitis C Testing
- Vision Screening
- Partner special information sessions on how to live in a healthy & safe way. Various topics.
We are proud to collaborate with several on-site partners, including Community Health Center, Inc. Other partner community-based organizations will also join us to showcase their services and programs and offer mini-live information sessions.

About Building One Community
Building One Community (also known as B1C) is a nonprofit organization established in 2011 that provides a comprehensive resource center for immigrants in the greater Stamford area. The mission of Building One Community is to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families. Since its inception, the organization has served over 17,000 immigrants from 117 different countries. B1C provides free services that educate, employ, empower, and engage immigrants and the broader community. Programs offered include ELL (English Language) programs, family and individual support services, immigration legal services, and workforce development programs.
