Board Of Reps. To Consider Contract For Design Of Shippan Roundabout
The board's transportation committee unanimously approved the contract last week, the Stamford Advocate reported.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Board of Representatives is slated to consider a contract between the city and engineering firm Fuss & O'Neill, Inc., to design a roundabout at the intersection of Shippan Avenue, Harbor Drive and Magee Avenue.
The board's transportation committee unanimously approved the contract last week, the Stamford Advocate reported, noting that the contract includes road design and analysis of the drainage system at the site.
The work would cost $470,440, up from an original assessment of $308,000, the Advocate said.

Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department Bureau Chief Frank Petise said public outreach to surrounding residents and businesses would be a priority if plans move forward, the Advocate added.
A regular meeting of the Board of Representatives will take place on Aug. 7 at 8 p.m.
