Sugar Cravings Out Of Control? It Could Be Candida!

Are your sugar cravings out of control? You may have Candida. Found out how this problem may be causing all kinds of health issues.

We have all heard it before.  Sugar makes you gain weight, causes diabetes, tooth decay, plays a role in cancer, heart disease and a host of other common ailments.

If you feel like you can’t get enough sugar, like an alien being has taken over your body and is making you pick up that donut, bagel, cupcake or cookie, you may have a Candida issue.

How do you know if this yeast overgrowth is propelling you towards the sugar bowl?

People with this issue are tired all the time, they may have chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia; they often complain of sinus infections, post nasal drip and frequently go to the doctor for antibiotics.

Many times they have digestive issues like gas, bloating, diarrhea or constipation.

And finally and most commonly they are overweight from all the sugar laden foods they are consuming.

So what is going on?

Yeast grows in your digestive tract and is fed by, sugar.

It ferments in your intestines.

Sugar and yeast have a symbiotic relationship.

Yeast needs sugar to grow.

It gets the sugar it need to survive by releasing a certain chemical that makes you crave more sugar.

Whenever you eat sugar you are feeding the yeast in your digestive tract.

Now if you have been doing this for a while you may have an even bigger issue.

Yeast grows, and grows until it outgrows your intestinal tract at which time it will cause holes to form in the lining, creating leaky gut syndrome.

You can just imagine the problems this creates.

What is meant to be in your intestinal tract is now out, in your body and what is meant to be kept out of the intestines is now inside.

Instead of the lining keeping your undigested food confined until digestion is complete, undigested particles make their way into other parts of the body.

This then triggers allergic reactions.

Your immune system goes on high alert and starts to attack.

So what creates this situation?

*An overuse of antibiotics kills off the good intestinal flora and then an imbalance takes place – yeast grows and takes over.

*Popping antacids can cause a lot of issues but it also stimulates yeast growth and sugar cravings.

*Using steroids like prednisone suppresses your immune systems which allows the yeast to grow.

*Stress can also stimulate yeast overgrowth by secreting cortisol which in turn suppresses your immune system and allows the yeast to take over.

*A key thing to remember is that what you body can’t digest easily, sits in your intestines and ferments.

*Most carbohydrates, all but the simple ones, do just this.

This situation is linked to many other digestive disorders like Crones Disease and Ulcerative Colitis just to name two.

Okay for the good news…..the solution is simple while not always easy.

You need to starve that yeast that has taken over your digestive tract.

Focus on the foods that are low on the glycemic index like protein, vegetables and whole grains.

Be aware that when you are doing this, at first you may feel like you are coming down with the flu.

Stick with it.

Go sugar free, add a probiotics supplement as well as a sugar free multi-vitamin.

Craving sweets? Just envision your yeast free body and then reach for a square of sugar-free dark organic chocolate.

Savor each bite.

You can also reach for a low glycemic fruit like, cherries, apples, pears, blueberries and strawberries.

Avoid fruit juices – most are made up of all sugar with very little nutritional value.

Don’t get discouraged it can take a while to reclaim your gut.

On the positive side, you will see digestive, skin and weight issues, just to name a few, disappear.

You will have more energy than ever before.

Have a great week and remember…

You deserve to be Healthy!
