Broad Daylight Shooting Under Investigation: Stamford Police

The shooting took place in a commercial parking lot at 920 Summer St. around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in broad daylight around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in a commercial parking lot at 920 Summer St.

"The preliminary investigation has determined that one suspect fired multiple shots at two men walking in the lot. The suspect and the intended victims fled the scene in vehicles," Lt. Thomas Scanlon said in a news release.

Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and reviewing area surveillance systems. Scanlon said the motive and any injuries, if there are any, are unknown at the moment.
