Car Catches Fire After Rollover Crash In Stamford

The Stamford Fire Department said it responded to a single-car crash in Stamford early Sunday morning.

STAMFORD, CT — A car ignited in flames after a rollover crash in Stamford early Sunday morning, according to the Stamford Fire Department.

The crash occurred on West Avenue at Warsaw Place. The sole occupant was out of the car when first responders arrived, Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police Department told Patch.

Booth noted the driver was taken to Stamford Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

The SFD said in a tweet that several units responded, and that the SPD is handling the investigation into the crash.
