Car Crashes Into House In Stamford, Extrication Needed: Update
The crash occurred Friday afternoon, according to fire officials who also posted a photo of the damage on Twitter.
STAMFORD, CT — A car reportedly crashed into a house on Oaklawn Avenue in Stamford Friday afternoon, which required an extrication of a person from the vehicle, and the temporary closure of the road, according to officials with the city's Belltown Volunteer Fire Department.
Details of the crash, and the extent of any injuries, was not disclosed, though the injuries are considered non-life threatening. The victim was able to walk to the ambulance under their own power. In addition to fire personnel, Stamford EMS and Stamford police also were called to the scene.
The temporary closure of Oaklawn Avenue stretched from Clifford Avenue to Pepper Ridge Road, police and fire officials said. When the road will reopen was not immediately known.
