Charges Dismissed Against Stamford High Principals in Sex Case

The two were charged with failure to report child abuse.

STAMFORD, CT—A judge dismissed charges against former Stamford High Principal Donna Valentine after she was charged with failing to report a sexual activity between a student and teacher.

Former Assistant Principal Roth Nordin also had charges dismissed, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The two participated in a court diversionary program.

The two were charged in October 2014 after it was revealed that now former teacher Danielle Watkins and a 17-year-old student engaged in sexual activity. Watkins was sentenced to five years in jail after pleading guilty to second-degree sexual assault.

Valentine has filed a lawsuit against the Stamford Board of Education in hopes of an appeal after she was fired.
