Chinese Language School of CT celebrates The Year of the Dog 4716

Chinese New Year Celebrated at Greenwich High School to usher in the Year of the Earth Dog

Chinese New Year celebration sponsored by the Chinese Language School of Connecticut took place at Greenwich High School this past weekend on Feb. 3rd.

Canine guests from Connecticut Guide Dogs for the Blind Whitney and Kendrick, both Labrador Retrievers ushered in the Year of the Earth Dog, Year 4716 on the Chinese Lunar calendar with food entertainment, music and games. There was even a Kissing Booth to provide extra good luck from the two puppies!

The annual event was a great way to celebrate Chinese New Year for the entire family and experience a slice of authentic Chinese culture with activities to appeal to all ages. Chinese Buffet prepared by Chef Eric Xie of Wilton, Arts, Crafts activities for all ages, demonstrations and Workshops, professional performances by musician Eric Jiaju Lee, Lee Garden Dancers, scavenger hunt, raffle and local vendors delighted guests young and old. CLSC Board members welcomed State Senator Tony Hwang who dropped by to wish everyone a happy New Year.

Chinese Language School of Connecticut is a 501C (3) Non-Profit Organization that offers classes to students of all ages. Programs include weekday/weekend classes, weekday programs for schools, summer programs, private tutoring, corporate programs and math enrichment for advanced learners grades 2-8. CLSC will be hosting its' annual OPEN HOUSE on Sunday March 28, 2018 for families interested in Chinese language and culture for the entire family.
