Cingari Family ShopRite, Stamford's Half Full Brewery Release New Beer

STAMFORD, CT — Cingari Family ShopRite, the family-owned and operated Connecticut-based supermarket chain, recently announced that it has again teamed up with its Stamford neighbor, Half Full Brewery, to produce a refreshing new beer for their customers to enjoy this summer.

Aptly named Grade Above Pilsner, the latest entry to the Grade Above beer line is available exclusively at the Cingari’s 12 ShopRite locations in Stamford, Bristol, Brookfield, Danbury, Derby, Fairfield, Norwalk, Shelton and Southbury.

The passion for delivering exceptional products and customer experiences inspired the two businesses to collaborate on a unique pilsner that embodies the spirit of a New England summer.

The two Fairfield County-based businesses previously worked on developing a Grade Above Golden Ale and Grade Above IPA. The beers were released in February.

"The whole team at Cingari Family ShopRite was thrilled to work with our friends at Half Full Brewery on another beer collab," said Tom Cingari Sr., president of Cingari Family ShopRite, in a news release.

"We’re always looking for new ways to bring our customers one-of-a-kind offerings and we can’t wait for our customers to enjoy this refreshing beer at their next summer barbeque or lakeside picnic," Cingari Sr., added.

The Grade Above Pilsner from Half Full Brewery is described as a classic pale lager. It's brewed with pilsner malt for a slight, bready sweetness and then fermented cold for crisp, clean flavors, and a light mouthfeel, perfect for cooling down on hot summer days.

"By combining our brewing expertise with their commitment to customer satisfaction, we have created a pilsner beer that captures the essence of summer in every sip," said Conor Horrigan, founder of Half Full Brewery, in a news release. Half Full has two locations in Stamford.

"And being available at Cingari Family ShopRite markets helps us introduce our incredible Half Full beer products to a wider group of Connecticut micro-brew fans," Horrigan added.

Customers will find the new beer available exclusively at Cingari Family ShopRite stores throughout the summer months. The cans stand out due to the patriotic red, white, and blue label designed by Stamford graphic designer Chris Sainato.

Cingari Family ShopRite and Half Full Brewery also plan on releasing a unique pumpkin ale this fall.
