Coach Charged After High School Hoops Fight In Stamford: Report
The Friday brawl involved players from Trinity Catholic and Norwalk high schools.

STAMFORD, CT — Norwalk High School Varsity Basketball coach Tom Keyes was issued a misdemeanor summons for third-degree assault Friday after a fight broke out after a freshmen basketball game between Trinity Catholic and Norwalk in Stamford, reports the Connecticut Post.
One player was checked out by medical staff for possible injury, but did not require a trip to a hospital. The fight reportedly broke out after the game was completed and players were shaking hands.
The game was characterized by rough play throughout, witnesses told the publication, and Keyes denied the charge saying that he did nothing to warrant the summons. Varsity and JV games scheduled to follow the freshmen game were postponed.
