CT Bond Commission To Consider Several Stamford Projects
The Connecticut Bond Commission is scheduled to meet on Thursday to discuss funding for multiple projects around the state.
STAMFORD, CT — Funds for several Stamford projects are on the docket for the Connecticut Bond Commission on Thursday.
The commission is slated to meet at 10:30 a.m. in a special meeting to consider an extensive bond package.
Included in the package is $2 million for renovations and upgrades to high school fields; $1 million for renovations and improvements at the Terry Conners Ice Rink on Cove Island; $950,000 for the replacement of balcony seats with accessible seating, carpeting and aisle lighting at the Palace Theatre on Atlantic Street; and $250,000 for the construction of a new kindergarten playscape at Toquam Magnet Elementary School.

There are also $90 million earmarked for the city in the Intrastate Highway Program.
Should the Bond Commission approve the package, Stamford would also receive funds for bridge rehabilitation on Lakeside Drive and West Glen Drive.
