CycleBar To Open Stamford Location
The indoor cycling franchise will open up a new Stamford location this year.

STAMFORD, CT — CycleBar, an indoor cycling franchise, is coming to Stamford.
According to franchisee Brett Ehrlich, the new location will open this fall at 1010 High Ridge Road at the former site of Sierra Grille. There is another CycleBar in Fairfield, but this is the first Connecticut location for Ehrlich.
The 2,400 square foot space will feature about 45 bicycles in a theater-type atmosphere, along with a community room with a small retail space where people can congregate before classes begin.

There will be a variety of different classes offered for all fitness and experience levels. Once the business is fully staffed, Ehrlich said he expects to employ about 15-20 people.
"We exist to help people feel good. We're going to create a consistent and inclusive environment where people of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels can come and have a home with us," Ehrlich said.

Ehrlich said he closed on a franchise agreement with CycleBar in March 2020, right before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Over the last two years, Ehrlich has been looking for the perfect spot for a new location.
Stamford fit the bill.
"We were immediately drawn to the strength of High Ridge Road and the interesting balance from a demographic standpoint in Stamford between the urban and suburban communities," Ehrlich said.
"We know there is demand in general, and we know bringing this particular concept of indoor cycling to this area will be extremely well received," he added. "We're looking forward to integrating into both the broader community and also the business community to be great partners to everyone."
Moving in next to CycleBar at 1008 High Ridge Road will be Panera Bread, which will also open this year.
Ehrlich is currently working with architects, and will be filing for permits soon. He hopes to begin construction in May.
CycleBar Stamford is offering a pre-sale for founding memberships, and Ehrlich said there has already been a lot of interest from the community.
