Diocese Names New Principal for Trinity Catholic High School

A veteran educator will lead the Stamford school.

The Diocese of Bridgeport has appointed a veteran Catholic educator to be principal of Trinity Catholic High School.

Trumbill resident Joseph Gerics, who is the associate superintendent for the Archdiocese of New York, has been appointed principal of the Stamford school, effective July 1, according to The Advocate.

Gerics will succeed Mark Karagus, whose one-year contract was not renewed, according to the report.

Gerics, who lives with his wife in Trumbull, taught for 24 years at Fairfield College Preparatory School before becoming principal of Immaculate High School in Danbury in 1994 where he worked for a decade before working in New York City.
