STAMFORD, CT — Two people were seriously injured in a two-car crash in Stamford on Thursday night, which prompted the closure of High Ridge Road for several hours, according to police.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:34 p.m. on High Ridge Road near the intersection with Cedarwood Drive. A 2008 Chevy Suburban, driven by a 55-year-old Stamford resident, was heading southbound on High Ridge when it drifted across the centerline of the roadway and encroached into the northbound lane, police said.
