Drunken Man Breaks Into Stamford Home To Sleep It Off: Report

The man was looking for a home on Southfield Avenue, but reportedly ended up across the city on Wardwell Street.

STAMFORD, CT — A drunken Bridgeport man, who was looking for his uncle's home on Southfield Avenue in Stamford early Saturday morning, broke into a completely different home across the city on Wardwell Street and passed out on the couch, writes the Stamford Advocate.

Tyshawn Malachi, of Monroe Drive, was charged with third-degree burglary after the Wardwell Street homeowner found him on couch at about 3 a.m. and called the police. Malachi also had helped himself to a snack from the refrigerator.

The homeowner kept Malachi in the home until officers arrived, and police said Malachi appeared confused and admitted to drinking heavily earlier in the evening.
