Edgehill Expands Leadership Team with Key Promotions and New Talent
Community welcomes new associates and celebrates promotions
Stamford, Conn. – Edgehill, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Stamford, Conn., announces the appointments of Maureen Jennings to resident services director, Sandi Kornblum to programming director, Dennys Matias to assistant director of food and beverage and Sylvie Gabriel to housekeeping manager.
“Each one of these roles supports the quality of life our residents enjoy,” said Edgehill Campus Executive Director Chris Cilano. “I am proud to work alongside such dedicated and compassionate team members, and I am confident that they will excel in their new roles.”
As the resident services director, Maureen is responsible for helping new residents integrate into the community. Maureen works directly with the resident-led ‘Welcoming Committee’ to ensure that all newcomers are comfortable and acclimated in their new homes. Maureen joined the community in 2024 as the programming director and quickly developed meaningful bonds with the residents and her fellow team members.

Joining Edgehill in the role of programming director, Sandi develops and oversees the community’s events and activities. She works alongside residents to plan engaging programming options that are aligned with the residents’ interests. Sandi’s background in senior living includes planning events and leading the volunteer program for At Home in Darien, an aging in place organization. She has also worked as the communications and events manager at Community Health Center (CHC) and Child Guidance Center of Southern CT (CGC).
Recently promoted to assistant director of food and beverage, Dennys delivers excellent service while ensuring that the unique needs of each resident are met. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of his department, including staff scheduling, event coordination, resident reservations and dietary accommodations. Previously, Dennys worked as the housekeeping manager at the community.

Sylvie is a new member of the Edgehill team, filling Dennys’ previous role as housekeeping manager. In overseeing the staff and daily functions of the housekeeping department, Sylvie ensures her team enhances the overall resident experience. Her key responsibilities include upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, responding to resident inquiries and concerns, and schedule management.
