All adults who are interested in Astronomy are invited to attend the monthly meetings of the Fairfield County Astronomical Society. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at the Stamford Observatory on the grounds of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. The observatory address is 151 Scofieldtown Road.
The next meeting on October 9 at 8 pm will feature a PBS documentary on Light and the electromagnetic spectrum and how we learn all we know about distant stars, galaxies and other objects in the sky.
If the weather is clear the meeting will be followed by a free observing session with th 22-inch research telescope. The planet Jupiter is now entering the evening sky, and will be featured.
