Fairfield County Bar Association Honors Stamford Students
A total of 14 Stamford Public School students were honored during the Law Day Art and Essay Contest.

From SPS: Stamford Public Schools (SPS) announced that 14 SPS students were recognized for their writing or artistic talents by the Fairfield County Bar Association at its “Law Day” ceremony, which was recently held at the Stamford Superior Court. Thirteen judges, representing the Superior Court of the Judiciary of Stamford and Norwalk, greeted the winning students and more than 50 family and community members.
The elementary and secondary students who entered this year’s Bar Association Law Day Challenge addressed the topic, “Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society.” Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Stamford Vicki Cooper kicked off the event with a presentation of Mayor Martin’s Law Day Proclamation. Honorable Stephanie McLaughlin presided over the ceremonies and recognized each of the Stamford students. Winning students:
