The school features two indoor gyms and is equipped with hospital grade filtration and sanitization equipment to ensure a healthy environment. Additionally, the new school adds about 40 teaching jobs to the Stamford community.

"Our goal is to create a school where our students can thrive and develop a love for learning in a safe and nurturing environment," said Brackett in a news release. "We’re thrilled to offer Goddard’s premier education to Stamford children, especially since there is such a need for high-quality childcare in the community."

Brackett is partnering with her aunt and uncle, Heather and Toby Noyes, who have co-owned The Goddard School of Clarksburg, MD, for nearly a decade. After seeing first-hand the active learning a Goddard School can provide, she decided to bring the experience to Stamford families.

The play-based learning experience offered at The Goddard School of Stamford uses the most current, academically endorsed methods in early childhood education to teach skills children need to be successful in school and in life.

Children can explore and discover music and art, learn how to communicate using sign language and secondary languages, and develop problem solving skills through games. Just as importantly, targeted curriculum focused on social-emotional development teaches children life skills, such as how to be kind to themselves and to others.

Additionally, The Goddard School of Stamford will offer Life Lesson Library, Goddard’s proprietary program built around great works of children’s literature designed to help develop skills like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.

The school is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
