STAMFORD, CT — Dates for graduation and moving up ceremonies have been set in Stamford Public Schools.

The Stamford Board of Education last week reviewed the dates, which were recommended by building principals and the Stamford Police Department.

The dates and times are as follows:

  • Stamford High School graduation: Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m.
  • Westhill High School graduation: Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m.
  • AITE Graduation: Friday, June 14 at 3 p.m.
  • 8th grade moving up ceremony: Friday, June 14 (morning)
  • 5th grade moving up ceremonies: To be announced at a later date

Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero said the district works with building principals and the SPD to determine graduation times.

"I know it's always not a fan favorite for us to have our two comprehensive high schools at the same time, but that is the recommendation given to us this year," Lucero told the school board during its regularly scheduled meeting last Tuesday.

Elementary and middle school administrators will share details about the time and location of their ceremonies when they become available, Lucero said.
