GREASE the musical on stage in Stamford

Broadway hit plays Kweskin Theatre for the first time.

GREASE IS STILL THE WORD!

Get out your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks and take a trip to the fabulous fifties with the original rock ‘n roll musical, Grease, playing for the first time in The Kweskin Theatre, Stamford! This long-running musical smash opened on Broadway in 1972, just a few months before the Kweskin Theatre opened. Playing September 12 through October 12, several dates are already sold out.

Step back in time to Rydell High's class of 1959. The duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, bring the 1950's back to life in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and "good" girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to rekindle the romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances their way through the songs "Greased Lightnin'," "We Go Together," "You're the One That I Want," “Born to Hand Jive,” "Hopelessly Devoted to you," and many more.

"I am so excited to offer this much-loved, Broadway musical for the first time here," said Lou Ursone, Curtain Call's executive director and producer. Music direction is by Peter Randazzo and choreography by Jennifer Silverman. Set design is by Peter Barbieri, Jr., costumes by Megan Latte Ormond and lighting design by Adam Lobelson.

The cast includes Will Armstrong, Chris Balestriere, Sandra Benedetto, Alanna Delgado, Tommy DeSalvo, Jaclyn DiDonato, Meaghan Elliot, Stephen Emerick, Robert Geils, Frankie Isola, Kevin Kiley, Cara Kramer, Savannah Belle Miller, Kelly Nayden, Adriana Nocco, Michael Okulski, Zully Ramos, Gregorio Santa, Dan Travers, Candice Sisbarro and John Varamo.

The opening night performance includes a post-show meet and greet with cast and crew with desserts provided by DiMare Pastry Shop and Chocolate Works of Darien.
