Greenwich Native Barbara Jean Lally Tiplady Passes Away at 78

Barbara Jean Lally Tiplady, 78, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 at Stamford Hospital.

She was born on November 17, 1936, in Greenwich, CT to the late James and Grace Lally.

Barbara was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son Lawrence Tiplady and his wife Melanie of Stamford and their children Matthew and Molly, her grandson, John Jablonski of Stamford, and her brother James Lally of Greenwich.

She was predeceased by her daughters, Linda Jablonski and Lisa Weiss, and her sisters, Gertrude Carpenter, Edith Sypher and Marion Low.

Barbara loved watching sports on tv, playing cards and going to the casinos. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Union Memorial Church in Stamford at the end of the month.
