ID Released Of Man Who Died After Falling From Boat In Stamford: CT DEEP
Officials on Monday identified a man who died after he fell from a boat in Stamford on May 3.
STAMFORD, CT — A Norwalk man died after he fell from a boat in Stamford on Sunday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The man was identified as Frederick Bannerot, 67.
DEEP Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon), Stamford police and fire personnel responded to a boating-related call on May 3 around 3 p.m. in Stamford Harbor.

Bannerot was trying to tie off to his mooring in the harbor and fell overboard, DEEP said.
First responders recovered Bannerot from the water and performed lifesaving efforts en route to a local area hospital, but he was pronounced dead, DEEP said.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
EnCon Police are investigating, DEEP said, noting there is no apparent criminal aspect at this time.
