Gunshot Fired Outside Of Stamford Strip Club, Suspect Arrested
Police officers heard the gunshot at about 1 a.m.
STAMFORD, CT — A report of a disturbance at the Mystique Night Club in Stamford early Monday resulted in the arrest of a convicted felon outside of the strip club who police said illegally possessed a handgun and may have fired it.
A gunshot was heard outside of the club at about 1 a.m., after officers had been called to the club on a report of a disturbance, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
The officers ran toward the sound of the gunshot and soon discovered Robert C. Anderson, the convicted felon, standing near his car. Resting on the rear passenger seat of the car was a handgun.

"Investigation showed that no one was shot during the incident and it is unclear at this time why the gun was shot," stated Lt. Michael Noto. "However, what is clear is that Robert C. Anderson is a convicted felon and does not have a permit to carry gun and in fact the gun was reported stolen several years ago."

He is being held in lieu of bail of $100,000 and has been remanded back to prison because he violated the terms of his parole.
