High Heat Shuts Stamford Schools Early; Cooling Centers Opened

The excessive heat has led to the city opening cooling centers throughout Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools is dismissing elementary and middle school students early Monday, June 18, due to the extreme heat impacting the state, according to a post on Schools Superintendent Earl Kim's Twitter page.

Dismissals Monday at the city's public high schools will follow their current final exam schedules.
