Homers Flying as Stamford North Little League Finishes Second Week
Premier Stamford Little League baseball action heating up in Springdale, North Stamford.

Instant Replay and RMS Construction jump out to 3-0 starts in the Majors division of this Stamford Little League with Clairol in pursuit at 3-1. The Jr. Majors/AAA division also started play this week.

Clairol 6, Boot Camp 5 – April 18

Calvin McKeever blasted a two-out, two-run walk-off homer to give Clairol a 6-5 comeback win over Boot Camp on April 18. Mark Lovishuk collected a pair of singles while Miles Aquila (RBI), Dan Salm (RBI) and Joshua Harper added big hits. Connor Robb recorded the win for Clairol (2-1), striking out six and allowing only one run in 2.1 innings of relief.

Luke Noonan bashed three hits (double, three RBI) for Boot Camp (1-2). Ethan Davis (double), Ben Nash and Ethan Skaug added hits.
County TV 7, Carpentry Unlimited 6 (7 innings) – April 18
Francesca Rubino-Chuckas’s RBI single put County TV in the lead for good in a 7-6 extra-inning win over Carpentry Unlimited on April 18. Christian Chuckas-Rubino tossed three innings in relief for win while Jason Carroll fanned 10 in four frames. Austin Scheine collect two hits and two RBI for County (2-1) while Chris Gatty led the team’s defense.
Patrick Teasdale collected three hits for Carpentry (1-2) while Alex Lanzillotti and Levi Lisack each had two-RBI doubles. Jack Hock fanned six in four innings and collected the game-tying hit.
Instant Replay 15, Unity Construction 2 – April 18
Jay Lockwood blasted two homers, drove in five and tossed four innings of no-hit ball (nine Ks) as Instant Replay defeated Unity Construction 15-2 on April 18. Dave Collazo and Connor Sullivan each smacked three hits for IR (3-0) while Jaden Dawkins (three RBI) and rookies Brandon Velez and Joe Mallozzi each added two hits. Tyler Tuccinardi added two RBI.
Andrew Keaveney doubled and drove in Jackson Uhl and Danny Lauter for Unity (1-2). Pitcher Tucker Healy fanned seven.
Viking Construction 6, Italian Center 3 – April 18
William Garofalo tossed a complete game for Viking Construction in its 6-3 win Italian on April 18. Hits by Benji Fuchs, Dylan McGarry and Garofalo sparked Viking (1-2) while rookie catcher Ryan Page did a great job behind the plate.
Jordan Nunez pitched three solid innings for IC (0-3) and scored a run along with Matt O’Connor and Mike Morales.
Boot Camp 5, Carpentry Unlimited 4 – April 21
Ethan Davis blasted two homers and Ben Nash one to lead Boot Camp to 5-4 win over Carpentry Unlimited on April 21. Luke Noonan’s double and Aidan Rella’s RBI single added to the offense for Boot Camp (3-1).
Carpentry (1-3) was led by Levi Lisack and Alex Lanzillotti at the plate with Emmerson Day, Danny Maloney (triple) and Patrick Teasdale chipping in.
Instant Replay 7, Italian Center 0 – April 21
Connor Sullivan whiffed eight in four innings and David Collazo fanned the side twice for the save as Instant Replay shut out Italian Center 7-0 on April 21. Sullivan (double) added three RBI and Collazo two RBI for IR (3-0). Joe Mallozzi (two RBI) and Tyler Tuccinardi added to the offense.
Matt O’Connor (7 Ks) and Michael Morales (3K) handled the pitching for the IC (0-3). Jordan Nunez and Hayden Moore each singled.
Clairol 14, County TV 1 (5 innings) – April 22
Conner Robb (three hits, five RBI, HR) and Calvin McKeever (four hits, four RBI, HR) combined to twirl a one-hit, run-rule 14-1 victory over County TV on April 22. Mile Aquila, Joshua Harper, Anthony Lowe and Daniel Salm (two RBI) added two hits each for Clairol (3-1).
Austin Scheine had the only hit for County (2-2) and scored its only run. Pitcher Mason Masterson allowed just three runs and struck out five in four innings.

Vinny’s Backyard 7, John M. Stanise CPA 2 – April 18
Ben Gragg crushed a three-run homer as Vinny’s Backyard beat John M. Stanise CPA 7-2 on April 18. Gavin Gioia and Vrishak Duriseti added two hits each for Vinny’s (1-0). Nick Seitaridis paced the team on the hill with five Ks in two innings, adding an RBI triple at the plate.
Stanise (0-1) made several outstanding defensive plays, led by Thomas Smith and Jack Burns. Caleb Weiss did an outstanding job behind the plate.
Instant Replay AAA 15, Extreme Auto Body 14 – April 18
James Raidt’s four hits, four RBI and two scoreless innings on the hill helped Instant Replay AAA edge Extreme Auto Body 15-14 on April 18. Cody Baker added a double, triple and 3 RBIs for IR (1-0) while Logan Bruno notched the save.
Kevin Unger knocked three hits (double) for Extreme (0-1). Andrew Thompson and Brandon Chen added RBI while Andrew Zapata and Aryan Kapoor scored.
First County Bank 8, Ahneman Kirby 1 – April 18
Yanni Karipides threw no-hit ball for 3.1 innings (nine strikeouts) as First County Bank topped Ahneman Kirby 8-1 on April 18. Steven Chase (three hits), C.J. DeMarco and Tim Wong each collected 2 RBI for First County (1-0). Owen Wyman scored twice, catcher Henry Oliver threw out a would-be base stealer, and Nicholas Cannon fanned four in two innings of relief.
Billy Parker whiffed six and Sean Jones three in strong relief performances for Ahneman Kirby (0-1). Oliver Anderes made an unassisted double play.
First County Bank 2, John M. Stanise CPA 0 – April 21
Brady Moore and Yanni Karipides engaged in as First County Bank edged John M. Stanise CPA 2-0 on April 21. Each starter struck out eight in three innings of work. Nicholas Cannon, who had two hits for First County (2-0), closed the game for the winners with five strikeouts. Karipides and Owen Wyman scored the team’s two runs
Jack Burns, Elijah Villanueva and Brady Moore collected the only three hits for Stanise (0-2).
