Hospital for Special Surgery Preps for Stamford Facility Opening
The facility is scheduled to open in February.

The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is poised to open an outpatient center in Stamford next month.
With its main campus on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the Stamford outpost is a $12.6 million, 18,000-square-foot facility, according to Crain’s New York Business.
The Stamford building was designed by the firm Perkins Eastman, and is located in the Chelsea Piers complex off Exit 9 of I-95 where there also is a Stamford Hospital outpatient facility, according to the report.

The Stamford facility will replace the Sound Beach Avenue facility in Old Greenwich.
Connecticut health regulators approved creation of the facility with the understanding that 10 percent of HSS’s patients are covered by Medicaid, according to the Crain’s report which can be found here.
