Husband Wanted for Questioning in Stamford Homicide Arrested: UPDATE

Dionicia Bautista-Cano, 24, was discovered dead Monday. Her estranged husband, Elmer Gomez Ruano, 32, was sought for questioning.

Update: STAMFORD, CT — Elmer Gomez Ruono, 32, the estranged husband of Stamford homicide victim Dionicia Bautista-Cano, has been apprehended, reports WFSB-TV.

Bautista-Cano's body was discovered in the couple's Courtland Avenue apartment on Monday, after their five-year-old daughter was found wondering in the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.

Gomez Ruono was arrested in Brooklyn by United States Marshals in relation to the alleged abandoning of his daughter at the bus station, but he is also wanted for questioning in connection with his wife's homicide.
