ID Of Hero Tow Truck Driver Unknown, CT State Police Seeks Help

An unknown tow truck driver saved a man from a burning car on I-95 in Stamford on Sept. 4. Police are asking for help to identify him.

STAMFORD, CT — The Connecticut State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a tow truck driver who saved another man's life following an accident on I-95 in Stamford earlier this month.

Around 5:25 a.m. on Sept. 4, a car accident occurred near exit 9 on I-95, causing a fire and trapping a man inside, police said in a Facebook post Tuesday.

An unknown tow truck driver from an unknown company stopped at the burning car to help, and pulled the man from the flames, police said. The unknown hero can be seen below:
