Police said they arrested a 38-year-old man during an early morning raid at a Stamford apartment on July 19.

STAMFORD, CT — Police recovered an illegal gun and drugs, and arrested a 38-year-old man in an early morning raid at a Stamford apartment last Friday, according to police.
Mustafa Jacobs, nicknamed "Dipset," was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition and possession of narcotics, Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin said.
The Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad (NOC) received information that Jacobs, who is a convicted felon, was in possession of a gun, Conklin said.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on July 19, NOC, with the help of the SPD's Special Response Team, K9 unit and patrol officers, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 90 block of Maple Tree Avenue, Conklin said.
"They discovered a Ruger .380 semi-automatic firearm under the couch Jacobs was sleeping on," Conklin said, adding that officers also found a small amount of crack cocaine. Jacobs took ownership of both items, Conklin noted.
