Jerry Pia Becomes 2nd Member to Resign from Stamford Board of Ed
Pia reportedly said his resignation will be effective after next week's board meeting.

Republican Jerry Pia, who has served 24 years as a member of the Stamford Board of Education, has announced he will resign following the July 28 board meeting.
Pia, who is executive director of the Glenbrook Community Center, told The Advocate “It’s time to retire.”

He is the second Republican board member to resign in less than two weeks. Fellow Republican John Leydon resigned July 10 fem the nine-member board, according to the report.
