Larceny And Conspiracy Charges Dropped Against 3 Ex-Stamford Cops
Charges were dropped against three former city police officers accused of manipulating extra duty assignments, the Stamford Advocate said.
STAMFORD, CT — Larceny and conspiracy charges were dropped Wednesday against three ex-Stamford police officers who were accused of manipulating extra duty assignments to the tune of more than $154,000, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The Advocate said a judge found that former Stamford police officers Mark Ligi, Paul Pavia and David Sileo successfully completed a six-month pretrial probation program, so the charges of first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny were dismissed.
In June 2019, Ligi, Pavia and Sileo were arrested along with fellow ex-officer Chris Broems. The Advocate reported that according to arrest warrants, the four participated in a scheme in which they claimed pay for canceled utility project fees.

The state did not object to the pretrial probation program this past February, since Ligi, Pavia and Sileo would cooperate in providing information about Broems who is awaiting trial, the Advocate said.
