Liberation Programs to Honor Mort & Eleanor Lowenthal and family

Spirit of Hope Awards on June 14th will honor Stamford residents and celebrate recovery for all.

Please join Liberation Programs for the annual Spirit of Hope Awards Fundraiser on June 14, 2022. This year's event will be held outdoors at The Point at Norwalk Cove with appetizers, desserts, silent auction and more. The event will honor long-time Liberation Programs' supporters, and Stamford residents, Mort and Eleanor Lowenthal and their family for their dedication to the organization and to recovery.

The Gini and Lou Bantle Spirit of Hope Award is given to those who demonstrate an understanding of the disease of addiction, an extraordinary devotion to the possibility of recovery, and who make a significant impact on our community by raising awareness and providing solutions. Funds raised at the event will be used to support Liberation's Inpatient and Outpatient Programs in Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport, as well as our Prevention Program in Greenwich and Westport and Outreach efforts throughout Fairfield County.

As the Fentanyl epidemic continues to drive the increase in fatal overdoses in Connecticut and nationwide, the work of Liberation Programs is more important than ever. While the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic led to increased overdoses and relapses, it also led to increased need for Mental Health services.
