Man, 70, Reported Missing From Stamford: Police

Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man who was reported missing from Stamford this week.

STAMFORD, CT — Police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing Stamford man.

William Harris, 70, was reported missing by his sister on Wednesday, police said in a Facebook post. The sister told police that Harris suffers from dementia and has gone missing in the past.

Harris was last seen on July 29 at approximately 5 p.m. when he left his home on Amelia Place, police said, noting he does not have a vehicle and frequents the areas of West Avenue, Harvard Avenue and West Main/Ann Street.

Police described Harris as a Black man, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and a bald head. Harris was last seen wearing a black windbreaker, white t-shirt, blue jeans, baseball hat (unknown color) and white sneakers.
