Man Accused Of Selling Drugs To Undercover Officer: Stamford Police
A multi-week investigation into a New Haven man led to an arrest and the recovery of crack cocaine, Stamford police said.

STAMFORD, CT — A multi-week investigation by the Stamford Police Department led to the arrest on Thursday of a 33-year-old New Haven man, and the recovery of a large amount of crack cocaine.
Quantel Brown was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on the West Side of Stamford on a warrant that charged him with sale of narcotics, Asst. Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin said.
The warrant, which came with a $50,000 bond, was developed after police said Brown sold powder cocaine to an undercover officer as part of an ongoing investigation.

While being processed, officers found Brown in possession of a knotted bag of crack cocaine weighing approximately 21 grams, Conklin said.
Brown was additionally charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, Conklin said.

The additional charges came with a $25,000 bond, but Brown was found to be in violation of his parole so he was remanded to custody, Conklin noted, adding that Brown's prior convictions are mostly related to drugs.
Brown is scheduled to appear in court on May 25.
