Man Accused of Using Fake $100 Bills to Buy Used Car in Stamford
The suspect is facing 39 counts of forgery.
A Waterbury man is facing 39 counts of forgery after he allegedly used fake $100 bills to buy a used car from a Stamford man.
The suspect surrendered to Stamford Police on July 13 after police obtained an arrest warrant that also charged him with third-degree larceny, according to The Advocate. He already is facing similar charges for allegedly passing 41 more of the fake Benjamins at the Mohegan Sun casino, according to the report.

The suspect, Angel Vasquez, 26, was released on $50,000 bond following his arraignment in state Superior Court in Stamford on Tuesday and is scheduled to return to court on July 31, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
