Man Charged In Crash That Seriously Injured Pedestrian: Stamford PD

The pedestrian suffered "very serious and possibly life-altering injuries" in the October 2024 crash, according to police.

STAMFORD, CT — A 28-year-old Stamford man was arrested and charged Monday in connection with an October 2024 motorcycle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian, according to police.

Kevin Calle turned himself in on Monday in Stamford where he was charged with second-degree assault and reckless operation, police said in a news release.

The crash occurred on Oct. 30, 2024, at approximately 7:41 p.m., when Calle, who was driving a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Tresser Boulevard, struck a 24-year-old New York man on the west side of the intersection at Atlantic Street, police said. The pedestrian was walking southbound across the intersection and was "vaulted to his position of final rest" after impact, police noted.

The pedestrian suffered "very serious and possibly life-altering injuries," police said, and Calle was also seriously injured.

Calle was released Monday after posting a $50,000 bond, police said. He's scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 3.
