Man Displayed Handgun Near Latham Park: Stamford Police
On Feb. 25 around 2 a.m., police were called to the area of Latham Park on a report of a man who displayed a handgun, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — A 28-year-old Stamford man was arrested over the weekend after police said he displayed a loaded handgun to someone in the area of Latham Park.
The man was charged with carrying a loaded firearm while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol, interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace, according to Lt. Douglas Dieso of the Stamford Police Department.

On Feb. 25 around 2 a.m., police were called to the area of Latham Park on a report of a man who displayed a handgun, Dieso said. Officers located the man based on a description of him, but he took off running.
"He stopped, put his arms in the air, and officers were able to see there was a gun in his waistband," Dieso said.

Officers were able to recover a 9mm handgun, Dieso said.
