Stamford Police said a man is accused of pulling a knife on security officers while attempting to shoplift from the store.
STAMFORD, CT — A New York man accused of pulling a knife on security officers after attempting to shoplift from a Stamford store was arrested Monday, police said. The incident occurred July 15 at a Macy's store on Broad Street.
Capt. Richard Conklin said Shannon Gilman-Bey, 47, of Brooklyn, N.Y., attempted to steal items from the store and was confronted by three security officers. He then began to struggle and fight with the officers, Conklin said.
"At some point, he broke away and pulled a razor-type knife, and threatened to cut them if they came near him," Conkilin said to Patch.
