• Stamford 'noncompliant' with HUD due to backlog of unspent federal grants: 'I'm very disappointed' (nhregister.com) — Stamford is facing HUD "noncompliance" over a $2.6 million backlog in unspent Community Development Block Grant funds, putting nearly $1 million in annual federal support at risk. City officials are racing to audit old grants, reallocate about $1.1 million, and decide whether to fund a sprinkler system at Lathon Wider Community Center before HUD rules on possible cuts.
