Man Seriously Injured In Stabbing, Suspect Arrested: Stamford Police
"There was a lot of blood. It was a very serious wound to the neck," Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin told Patch.

STAMFORD, CT — A man was seriously injured and another was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred following an argument over rent on the East Side of Stamford Wednesday night, according to police.
Javier Rosario, 51, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin said.
Police received a call around 9:30 p.m. on April 23 reporting a very serious stabbing at an apartment in the 20-block of Lee Street, Conklin said.

A 43-year-old man, who lived at the apartment with Rosario and several others, was found with a severe stab wound to the left side of his neck, and he was taken to Stamford Hospital where he's currently in stable condition, Conklin noted.
"There was a lot of blood. It was a very serious wound to the neck," Conklin said, calling the scene "very chaotic" with "a number of people there intoxicated."

An investigation found that Rosario stabbed the man with a large kitchen knife following an argument over rent, Conklin said.
"It looks like many people were living in this unit, many sleeping on the floors in various rooms, and collectively they would pay for rent between them," Conklin said.
It's unclear how many people were living at the apartment. An investigation is ongoing, and police will have the city follow up on the living conditions at the apartment, Conklin said.
Rosario was arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Thursday where his $80,000 bond was increased to $300,000.
Should Rosario make bond, he must wear a GPS tracking device, Conklin said.
