STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons has issued a statement condemning the violence that has erupted in Israel and Palestine.

"I stand with the Israeli people during this dark moment. My thoughts and prayers are with those mourning the loss of family and friends, and so many others throughout our community that are struggling with these senseless acts of terrorism," Simmons said.
