STAMFORD, CT — The city of Stamford has scheduled a public meeting for Tuesday, Nov. 19, to discuss the future redevelopment of the 35 Crescent St. property, formerly known as the Glenbrook Community Center.

The meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. at Union Memorial Church, 58 Church St., will allow residents to provide input, explore redevelopment options, and share ideas for the site.

All meeting materials and presentations will be provided in both English and Spanish, the city said in an announcement. Spanish-language support will also be available at the meeting.

Attendees can expect:

  • A presentation of redevelopment options: The planning consultant will provide an overview of the neighborhood and potential uses for the 35 Crescent St. property.
  • Community feedback stations: Residents can visit different stations to learn about each option and share their thoughts.
  • Surveys and interactive feedback: Attendees will have the opportunity to fill out surveys and provide feedback on what they would like to see in the redevelopment.

Citing a lack of support from the Board of Representatives in October 2022, Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons withdrew a proposal that would've redeveloped the site into affordable housing units.
