New High-Rise Will Be Stamford's Third-Tallest Building

The city's zoning board recently approved a proposal to build a 31-story high-rise residential building, according to the Stamford Advocate.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Zoning Board recently approved a proposal to build a 31-story high-rise apartment building in Landmark Square, the multi-building office and retail complex located in the heart of Stamford's central business district, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The high-rise will replace an existing office building, and will be the third tallest building in the city behind Park Tower Stamford, formerly known as Trump Parc Stamford, and another residential building on Washington Boulevard that was approved in February 2021, the Advocate said.

The new building at Landmark Square will feature 400 apartments consisting of 20 studios, 180 one-bedroom units, 180 two-bedroom units and 20 three-bedroom units, the Advocate writes.The Stamford Zoning Board

Instead of having options for affordable housing, Cappelli Organization, the project's developer, decided to donate around $10.7 million to the city's Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
