North Stamford Police Substation At High Ridge Center Set To Close: Report
The Stamford Police Department's High Ridge Center substation is set to close by the end of the month as the city looks for a new site.
STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department’s substation at High Ridge Center will close by the end of the month after 25 years, according to the Greenwich Time.
Administrative Capt. Scott Duckworth told the newspaper the department has not confirmed a new location for the office, which primarily serves North Stamford.
Duckworth told the Greenwich Time the substation functions like an office and helps officers avoid repeated trips back to police headquarters on Bedford Street, which is farther from the northern part of the city.
