Obit: Adele Williams of Stamford
She and her husband fostered 250 children and wrote two children books.
Adele Semsel Williams passed into eternal rest on Saturday, September 23, 2017. A lifelong resident of Stamford, she was born on January 7, 1932 to the late Milo and Mary (Taracka) Semsel. Born and raised in Stamford, attended Stamford schools and graduated from Stamford High School, where she played the clarinet in the high school band. She and her husband fostered 250 children and she authored two children's books.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Williams; three children, Bruce Williams, Jr., Cynthia Williams, and Barbara McAvoy; three grandchildren, Tracy Skiba, Kelly Roche, and Terri McAvoy; and by four great-grandchildren.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 27th from 9am to 11am with a prayer service to be celebrated at 11am at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave, in Stamford, CT. Her interment will follow at Roxbury Cemetery, 429 Roxbury Road, in Stamford, CT.
