Obituary: Michele Tartaglia-May, 47, Of Stamford

Michele Tartaglia-May, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14th, 2023. Michele was born in Stamford on July 7th, 1975, to parents CarolAnn and David Tartaglia.

In addition to her parents, Michele is survived by her husband, James May, of Lindenhurst, New York, sister and brother-in-law: Samantha and Gad Lavy, her niece Victoria Crowe, as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is predeceased by her grandmother, Theresa Palomeni Gurtlinger.

Michele was a warm, loving person who enjoyed being with her family and, most of all, her faithful dog Gina. She is a graduate of Stamford High School and Southern Connecticut University, where she then pursued a short career in daytime television. A lover of music, flowers, and all the beautiful things in life, “Mimi” will always be remembered for her benevolent and nurturing spirit.

The family is hosting a small service on Saturday, April 22nd, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT, at 10:00 AM; there will not be calling hours.
