Online Threat Prompts Extra Police At Stamford High School: SPD
Officers responded to the school Tuesday morning, according to the Stamford Police Department.

STAMFORD, CT — Additional police officers were sent to Stamford High School Tuesday morning following an online threat that was made on a Stamford High School football blog, according to police.
Lt. Jerry Junes of the Stamford Police Department said the response was "preventative," and about six additional officers were sent to the campus on Strawberry Hill, along with the school's two School Resource Officers.
"The school received notification that some individual was looking to cause some trouble around the school," Junes said. "It's a peace of mind for the students, especially after what happened last Friday. We don't want to alarm everybody. The kids and the parents felt extra safe this morning."
