P2P Will Honor Board President Mike Riccardi at Fundraising Benefit

Person to Person (P2P), a nonprofit provider of essential services for 25,000 residents annually throughout lower Fairfield County, announces its fundraising benefit “Evening Under the Stars” to take place on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Rotunda at 200 Elm in Stamford.

Person to Person Board President Mike Riccardi will be honored at the event. Riccardi joined the Board in 2018 and became President in June 2020, just as the pandemic struck. He was instrumental to P2P’s successful pandemic response, meeting a surge in demand from P2P clients for financial assistance, food and help for other critical needs.

“Mike was instrumental to our successful pandemic response,” said Nancy Coughlin, Person to Person CEO. “With his leadership we were able to meet the surge in demand from our clients for financial assistance, food and help for other critical needs. I cannot think of anyone who deserves to be honored more than Mike.”

“I am honored and flattered for this recognition,” Riccardi said. “It’s been a privilege to guide this amazing organization that contributes so much to our community. I would like to thank P2P staff and volunteers, our community partners and my fellow Board members for their hard work, team spirit and collaboration. Together we have made a meaningful impact on the individuals we serve. I’m very proud of our accomplishments.”

The event will feature cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, music, and a live auction featuring a resort trip to Mexico, a private chef event and more. Funds raised from the event will support P2P’s mission to provide individuals and families with assistance for basic needs to overcome daily challenges and access to resources to improve their lives.

P2P continues to provide food and emergency financial assistance in record numbers, as well as a Financial Opportunity Center®, college scholarships, mentorships, summer camperships and a host of programs to support area families. Through its work, P2P provides a pathway toward economic stability.

Tracey Riccardi is the event’s Honorary Chair. T. Riccardi, who has an MBA and a background in accounting, is a stay-at-home mom of three. She is currently serving her 7th year on the Board of Horizon at New Canaan Country School and is an active volunteer at her children’s schools and at P2P. Event Co-chairs are Todd Lindvall and Meghan Thornton. Lindvall is Area General Manager of Fairfield Inn and Stamford Courtyard by Marriott, as well as Chair of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. He serves on Stamford’s Downtown Special Services District and Veteran’s Park Partnership. With a background on Wall Street in sales and trading, Thornton is currently a realtor in Darien where she lives with her husband and two children. She served as a vice president for OPUS for Person to Person for two years and is currently serving as a board member of P2P.
