Pedestrian Seriously Injured From Hit-And-Run: Stamford Police

A 52-year-old Stamford resident suffered life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car Wednesday night, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police are investigating a hit-and-run from Wednesday night that left a 52-year-old city resident seriously injured.

According to Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad (CARS) Supervisor Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, the incident occurred at approximately 7:59 p.m. Wednesday. A pedestrian was crossing Tresser Boulevard walking northbound when he was struck by a gray Acura that was traveling westbound on Tresser.

The Acura fled the scene, Booth said, and the pedestrian was taken to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Acura was located a short time later by offices near the scene of the collision. The license plates were removed, and the driver wasn't located, Booth said.
